Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>Entebbe International Airport has experienced an impressive surge in international passenger traffic between January and November 2023, as revealed by the recent data released by the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA).<\/b><\/p>\n

During this period, the airport recorded a total of 1,733,000 international passengers, representing a substantial increase of 315,000 passengers compared to the same period in 2022.As the festive season approaches, Entebbe International Airport anticipates a further rise in passenger numbers, particularly during this holiday period.<\/p>\n

Acknowledging the expected increase in traffic on the roads leading to the airport, Vianney Luggya, the Spokesperson of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority (UCAA), has issued an appeal to departing passengers, urging them to meticulously plan their journeys.Luggya emphasises the importance of allowing extra time and advises travelers to arrive at the airport at least three hours prior to their scheduled departure time to mitigate potential inconveniences.<\/p>\n

By implementing this proactive measure, the aim is to prevent delays and ensure a smooth travel experience for all passengers.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Luggya takes the opportunity to remind airport users about the convenient payment option available for parking fees.<\/p>\n

Travelers exiting the airport car parking area now have the option to pay for parking using mobile money.<\/p>\n

Luggya extends warm wishes to all Ugandans and users of the facilities at Entebbe International Airport, wishing them a pleasant and hassle-free experience during the festive season.<\/p>\n

The surge in international passenger numbers at Entebbe International Airport underscores Uganda’s growing prominence as a regional travel hub.<\/p>\n

It also highlights the critical need for travelers to plan ahead during busy periods, ensuring a seamless journey and contributing to a positive travel experience for all.<\/p>\n
