Africa-Press<\/a> – Uganda<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Salam Charity Foundation has donated sh40m towards the construction of Kabasanda mosque in Butambala district.<\/b><\/p>\n

The money was handed over to the mosque management by Salam Charity Foundation managing director Haji Abdul-Karim Kaliisa last week.<\/p>\n

The sh2.6b mosque is poised to become the largest in the district, with a sitting capacity of over 1,000 people.Kaliisa said they are determined to complete it despite the death of his brother Dr Abdul-Noor Kaliisa, who spearheaded its construction.<\/p>\n

Sheikh Murta Bukenya applauded the charity for its commitment to construct the mosque.<\/p>\n

Bukenya said building a mosque is a wonderful act of faith.<\/p>\n

“I encourage all Muslims to contribute to the construction of the mosque because it gives an unending reward,” he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
