Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>The Easter bells may not be the only thing ringing this Sunday in Moroto \u2014 fireworks, music, laughter, and cheers are expected to echo across the Karamoja plains as Moroto Municipality Member of Parliament, Francis Lorika Adome , prepares to host what many are calling the biggest celebration the region will see this season<\/b><\/p>\n

Dubbed the \u201cMarble City Easter Thanksgiving Festival,\u201d the bash is set to take over Moroto Boma Grounds on Sunday, April 20, 2025, and promises an unforgettable day of free food, drinks, music, and pure revelry \u2014 all at the MP\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n

Adome, known for his generous \u201ccash voucher strategy\u201d and his unshakable grassroots charm, says this is his way of giving back. \u201cThe people of Moroto trusted me with their vote. I couldn\u2019t find a better moment to sit down, eat, dance and celebrate with them than this Easter,\u201d he said when reached for comment.<\/p>\n

Social media has already exploded with excitement, with posts reading: \u201cEntrance is free, free food and drinks, plus performances from top artists!\u201d The anticipation has sparked a regional pilgrimage, with attendees planning to travel from across Karamoja.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have already fixed the puncture on my bicycle,\u201d said Joseph Sagal from Nakapiripirit, grinning as he polished his two-wheeler. \u201cThis kind of party? I cannot miss it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Peter Kodet of Napak added, \u201cWe Bokora and the Matheniko are one people. Adome is uniting us all through celebration.\u201d<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s not just the food that\u2019s drawing the crowds \u2014 it\u2019s the sheer scale. Inside sources reveal the MP has splashed over 50 million Uganda shillings on a high-end events company to transform the Boma Grounds into a mini music festival, with dazzling stage lighting, massive screens, soaring drone flights, booming sound systems, camera crews, and a fireworks show to rival Kampala\u2019s New Year skyline.<\/p>\n

Organizers have already descended on the venue with equipment, setting up tents and structures as the countdown begins.<\/p>\n

Adome\u2019s star rose sharply in 2021 when he unseated former MP Angela Fred. Since then, he\u2019s become known not just for his politics, but for his personalized village visits and direct financial support to constituents. \u201cCash empowers my people to choose what they really need,\u201d he told this publication.<\/p>\n

As Sunday approaches, buses are being booked, bicycles tuned, and shoes dusted off across Karamoja. One thing is clear: whether you’re a supporter or just hungry for roasted goat and some good music, Moroto is the place to be this Easter.<\/p>\n
