Africa-Press – Zambia. POLICE have launched investigations into a robbery which took place at LAwAK bureau de change at Lewanika Mall in Lusaka in which criminals got got away with US$600 US and K64, 149 cash.
This follows a video which has been widely shared on social media depicting three armed men attacking cashiers inside the bureau. And in a statement issued by police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale to Mwebantu, the incident occurred on June 18 this year. Mr Mwale said the alleged robbers got away with US$600 and K64,149 cash.
“Police received a report of Robbery which occurred on June 18, 2021 between 09 hours and 09:30 hours at LAwAK Bureau De Change situated at Lewanika mall in Woodlands where 3 armed men attacked the casheir and got away with 600 US dollars and K64, 149 cash,” Mr Mwale said.
