Africa-Press – Zambia. Former Republican President Edgar Lungu has commended the Reformed Church in Zambia for the almost successful completion of the multi purpose hall in Lusaka.
In a speech read on his behalf by opposition parliamentary Chief whip Hon. Brian Mundubile during the welcoming ceremony of Rev. Francis Mbao, Mr. Lungu said it is gratifying that the multi purpose hall has been built using resources from congregants and partners.
” Its good that the church did not contract any loan to finish this multi purpose hall. The project has reached an advanced stage and it’s good to know that all the materials for the roofing are available, ” Mr. Lungu said.
” All the money came from congregants and partners and 24 years after the decision to build the multipurpose hall was made, today it has come to fruition, ” he said.
He said the church continues to play a critical role in the development of the country. And Rev. Francis Mbao commended former President Edgar Lungu for his continued support to the church.
