ON 28th December 2019, while away to Zesco United at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola for CAF Champions League fixture, Zamalek SC technical bench sent their warming up players to deliver a pink towel to their goalkeeper Mohammed Abo Gabaski to be used for drying up his gloves as it rained heavily that day.
Upon being delivered to the goalkeeper, Zesco ball boy behind the goalpost mistook the towel for juju and fought with the Egyptian National Team second choice goal minder to confiscate the item. That action confused the referee who just stood nearby to watch the battle.
The ball boy won the battle, threw it back to the warming up players while pointing at them and warning them. The item was brought back to the referee for inspection, he checked and saw nothing inside the innocent towel. The ball boy was given marching orders and the game resumed. The match ended 1-1.
