Africa-Press – Zambia. Colonel PANJI Kaunda says he is surprised that the Patriotic Front are in a hurry to declare Edgar Lungu as father of the nation. Kaunda, who is son to Zambia’s first Republican President late Kenneth Kaunda, says it is unwise for PF to seek the title without having the name of Edgar Lungu cleared.
He has rubbished former Defense Minister Davis Chama’s plea to President Hakainde Hichilema to let bygones be bygones adding that Edgar Lungu must be cleared by the courts if any investigations points to him.
Panji Kaunda has asked the PF to be patient with the process of conferring Edgar Lungu with Father of the Nation title as that is not a cheap thing. -NewsMakers
