Africa-Press – Zambia. Newly elected Kabwata MP Hon. Andrew Tayengwa has come to the rescue of Kamwala Ward councillor Mainda Simataa by joining the play park case where Simataa was sued by PF acting President and former Minister of Justice, Hon. Given Lubinda for alleged defamation, and is seeking an injunction to prevent the councillor or the community from interfering with his freedom to enjoy the property.
Simataa appeared today at the High Court in Judge Lombe Phiri’s chambers accompanied by his lawyer, Counsel Msanide Phiri of MWACK Associates and fellow UPND councillors Bright Mafuta and Lubasi Milupi of Chawama and Munali wards respectively. Counsel Msanide has since applied for, and been granted an adjournment to prepare and file in an affidavit in opposition suit.
