Africa-Press – Zambia. Local Government and Rural Development Minister Gary Nkombo says disrupting parliamentary proceedings is a serious offence that attracts sanctions by the house.
The Patriotic Front is up in arms after 30 of its Members of Parliament were suspended from parliament for 30 days for disrupting parliamentary proceedings in the house.
But Mr Nkombo says there is nothing irregular about the speaker slapping a 30 days suspension because he was punished before for a similar case. Mr Nkombo has urged the suspended MPs to reflect on their dishonorable conduct while serving their 30 days suspension.
