Lubinda told the media at a briefing in Lusaka today that he was not stupid to have a mountain of money instead of invest it so that he becomes “rich like BMW.”
Meanwhile, Lubinda claimed that the current “boma” owes him adding that government doesn’t want to pay him. Lubinda was yesterday arrested and charged for Corruption involving more than $539,000.
He was however released on bond. “Because I wouldn’t be keeping money if I have projects am not that stupid to have a mountain of money instead investing in cows so that I become rich like BMW,” he said.
“I also want to be as rich as BMW. Why would I keep dollars in my account? I used my dollars to build, I used my dollars to buy cattle….why didn’t they also talk about the money that government owes me? This boma owes me money, they don’t want to pay me.” And Lubinda said he is not bitter about his arrest.
“I am not bitter about this, am not bitter. Some of my colleagues came yesterday came at my residence to come and celebrate, we were celebrating. And what were we celebrating? That BMW has finally realized that where the governance of this country is it is the PF,” he said.
“Remember I told him that please BMW, do not beg thieves. Arrest them and present them before the law. And that is exactly what he has done, he listened to what I advised him.”
