Africa-Press – Zambia. The Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA), and bus drivers have agreed to reduce bus fares in line with the new prices of fuel. The resolution to reduce fares was arrived at during a meeting in response to the drop in fuel pump prices, announced by the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) recently.

And RTSA Head of Public Relations, Fredrick Mubanga, says the proposed reduction in bus fares will be effective after approval by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics. ERB recently reduced the fuel pump price by K3.56 per litre for petrol, and K3.14 per litre for diesel, with effect from 1st August, 2022.
