Africa-Press – Zambia. Red Star Belgrade have qualified for the final qualification round of the 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage after thrashing Pyunik Yerevan of Armenia 7-0 on aggregate.
Belgrade beat Yerevan 2-0 on the day thanks to a Guelor Kanga penalty and a goal from Milan Pavkov. The Zambian international put in an impressive full shift for the Red Whites.
Kangwa and his teammates will face Israeli side Maccabi Haifa in the play off round. The first leg will be played on Tuesday 16th August at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa while the second leg will be played on 23rd August 2022 in Belgrade. The winner of the tie will advance to the group stage. The loser will be transferred to the Europa League group stage.
