Africa-Press – Zambia. Zambia Women’s National team striker Grace Chanda has joined Spanish top flight outfit Madrid CFF. The Copper Queens forward joins Spanish side Madrid de Futbol Femenino (Madrid CFF) on a two-year-deal.

The club took to social media to announce the signing of Copper Queens striker. Chanda becomes the second Zambian to sign for Madrid CFF after Rachael Kundananji who was unveiled on August 2, 2022.

She leaves Kazakhstan after a short spell with BIIK Kazygurt where she scored defining goals including a historic hat-trick in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

In July, Chanda helped the Copper Queens clinch bronze at the 2022 Women’s Africa Cup in Morocco with three goals to her name and was the top goalscorer in the 2021 Women’s National League season with 35 goals.

Chanda is synonymous with scoring goals and was the top goalscorer in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics qualifiers for Africa with eight goals. She also scored 86 goals in 26 games for ZESCO Ndola Girls in 2018.
