Africa-Press – Zambia. The Zamba U-20 National team has won their 12th COSAFA U-20 Championship following 1-0 triumph over Mozambique. Head coach Chisi Mbewe made three changes to his starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s final assignment against Mozambique.

Mathews Banda came in for Amon Chulu, Emmanuel Mukosha took the place of Julius Kumwenda while Joseph Sabobo Banda replaced the injured Songa Chipyoka.

The team was looking to put the icing on the cake after having also qualified to the 2023 Egypt Africa Cup of Nations. It was Zambia who settled quickly, and looked promising from the word go dominating play.

The Young Bullets had to however wait for the 35th minute to open the score with Kings Mutandwa finding the back of the net. In the second half it was a bit more balanced with Mozambique looking to find a way back. Chisi Mbewe’s lads were however equal to the task as they held on to win the match, 1-0 and secure their 12th COSAFA title.
