Africa-Press – Zambia. Patriotic Front presidential aspiring candidate Emmanuel Bwalya Mwamba has disclosed that he turned down President Hakainde Hichilema’s job offer. Mwamba says when President Hichilema came to power, he offered him a job which he declined to take.
He says his heart has always been in politics, which is why he even turned down President Hichilema’s job offer after the 2021 general elections. Speaking when he featured on Camnet TV’s “National Matters” programme, Mwamba said he deferred his political ambitions when former president Edgar Lungu appointed him as Zambia’s High Commissioner.
According to him, President Hichilema wanted to give him a job in the public office. Apparently, the law forbids those in public office from engaging into politics, unless they resign first.
