Africa-Press – Zambia. DAVID Mabumba says during his tenure as energy minister, there was no reported technical data about the Kariba dam having leakages but only speculations.
In an interview, Tuesday, Mabumba said PF mobilised international support to the tune of US$294 million to undertake rehabilitation works at the dam based on speculations about the safety and integrity of the dam.
“At the time I worked as energy minister in the PF administration, we had no reported technical data or information that the Kariba dam had leakages.”
