Africa-Press – Zambia. Contrary to false opposition propaganda that I am no longer in the race for the PF presidency, I want to assure ALL that I am running and running well to win.
I am speaking to party structures, party elders and the general membership of the party so that I plan and execute the campaign in a systematic and professional manner within the confines of the party regulations.
My decision to seek the presidency of the PF is well and deeply entrenched in the core values of what I believe to be the basis of leadership– to serve the people.
I am therefore focused on producing and selling a new cadre of leadership that engenders unity, welfare of our people in the party structures and beyond, and critically leadership that offers real alternatives to the people with regards the major issues confronting our people.
I am aware of the daunting challenges our people are facing with regard to food insecurities due to high prices of meal meal and shortage in some places; critical shortage of essential but basic medicines in our hospitals; and punishing load shedding, killing small and medium businesses and households; and compromising hospital operations.
I am worried at the outbreak of the current wave of the pandemic at a time of a nearly collapsed healthcare system. Therefore, my campaign is too engrossed with these issues bordering on human survival, to be distracted by unproductive propaganda on the status of my candidature.
