Africa-Press – Zambia. A YOUNG, brilliant medical student of Lusaka University and talented choreographer has left his family and friends in shock after his death from a reported suicide.
Moses Mhlanga, the second of four children to his parents is said to have died yesterday.
Although the details or reasons of his suicide are not yet clear, Mhlanga’s grief-stricken friend told Kalemba that the emerging wedding choreographer ended his own life. Mhlanga had demonstrated passion for dance and medicine and hinted he would pursue both careers.
“My main talent is dancing and I got so good that I’m able to choreograph weddings and different kind of entertainment events. I’ve been dancing my whole life and it’s really something I love and enjoy doing,” Mhlanga once wrote on Facebook.
“And as time goes by I’m planning (by God’s grace) to open a dance studio of my own despite being a doctor and I would like to say thank you very much to everyone that has been supportive and also those who’ve hired my fellow dancers/choreographers and I for their wedding,” he added in the same post last year.
Funeral gathering according to another one of Mhlanga’s friend is Lusaka’s Libala area. His sister, Rudo is one of the many that used Facebook yo express their grief.
“My brother whyyyy Moses you didn’t have to leave me so powerless and hopeless like this mukulu wanga,” Rudo wrote on her wall.
Shikanda Kawanga wrote; “Shame shame on death Moses Mhlanga our son, our doctor, our choreographer why have you left us this early. We are lost of words, we don’t even know how we will mourn you. Rest in Power my boy. #WeMourn #painfullife”.
