Africa-Press – Zambia. We now go to Miles Sampas narrative and agenda about Given Lubinda and Chilangwa not having the power to suspend him . We totally agree with Miles Sampa that his appointment and the appointment of others by Acting president Given Lubinda are null and void, this is because Lubinda did not drive a good narrative where he should have been including Lungu in all the decisions for example he would have been saying ” in consultation with the president we appoint you as bla bla bla ” Miles argument at this point would have fallen off but because he did everything as himself having absolute power which only a president has was wrong.
Next item most PF and Zambians are not privy to is that Lungu of course wrote to cabinet and wrote to the party but the party rejected his resignation just like in any other organisation, the party national chairman and central committee rejected his application for resignation and asked him to move with the transition and hand over power at the general conference, in view of this scenario it means Lungu is president of PF and is still active in politics even if he doesn’t do politics as per government requirements for him to get a salary.
What are the implications of Lubindas and central committees decisions then now that we know Lubinda has no absolute power? It means that all appointments done by Lubinda fall off and if those appointments fall off then the decisions that were made in the central committees they held did not form a quorum and that means back to the drawing board which in itself is positive if PF would restrategise.
What is the fate of Lungu with government then because government got the letter that he resigned yet central committee refused it means Lungu will have to battle it out and at this point he has to say wether he continues as he is PF president or resign from PF and active politics.
Surprisingly even the letter above came from Miles Sampa from cabinet and we also wonder why .
Note : this does not mean PF cannot go to the convention no actually even the Chairperson of the political party can actually call for the convention while Miles and Lubinda battle it out in court .
