Africa-Press – Zambia. Contract by Ministry of Mines and Minerals Development to award Africa Life Insurance to manage the $35million Environmental Protection Fund must be cancelled because of conflict of interest as the company is associated with President Hakainde Hichilema.
● The presence of 22 Afghans, in Zambia. The 22 previously worked for the USA Government in Kabul, are seeking asylum in the USA but intend to stay in South Africa during the screening process. South Africa has rejected them citing legal ambush and high security risk to the country.
Information gathered so far is that Brenthurst Foundation Executive Director Greg Mills and Lifeline Foundation of the USA have coordinated this asylum case.
Mills is one of the foreign advisory units attached to Zambia’s State House. The other one is the Tony Blair Foundation.
● Reckless decision to hire executive jets from Luxaviation and Onyx Aviation of South Africa for the purpose of taking President Hichilema to Whindoek, Namibia and Addis Ababa, Ethiopia respectively.
Zambia has two presidential jets; the Bombardier Challenger 604 Reg 9J-One, and the G650 Gulfstream, Reg Zambia Airforce AAF 001.
The decision of wasteful expenditure to buy a new presidential helicopter Agusta AB 139 registration 9J- ten while the country already has two presidential helicopters; the Agusta-Bell AB.139 reg 9J-ZAM and a single-engine Agusta Koala A119, reg; 9J-TWO.
Minister of Defence Ambrose Lufuma claims the helicopter has been given to Zambia for temporary use by the agent servicing the presidential helicopter 9J-ZAM. If this was true, why would Government repaint the helicopter and give it a new Registration? Dod they do the same to the presidential jets recently hired? We have information the helicopter has been bought using emergence procurement methods.
