MILES SAMPA GRANTED EX-PARTE LEAVE TO COMMENCE CONTEMPT PROCEEDINGS

Africa-Press – Zambia. Patriotic Front PF Presidential aspirant MILES SAMPA has been granted an ex-parte leave to commence contempt proceedings against four senior party officials for allegedly disregarding an injunction not to hold themselves out in their positions.

The four senior officials include GIVEN LUBINDA, NICKSON CHILANGWA, RAPHAEL NAKACINDA and DAVIES CHAMA. High Court Judge TIMOTHY KATENEKWA has also ordered that costs of and incidental to the proceedings be borne by the alleged contemnors in any event.

Mr. SAMPA in his notice of motion filed in the Lusaka High Court stated that the first and second contemnors disregarded the ex-parte injunction he obtained on February 9, 2023 that barred them from acting in their positions until further notice.

He contended that the alleged contemnors must not hold themselves out in their positions as former President EDGAR LUNGU who appointed them resigned as PF President.
