Why is HH afraid of going to China, asks M’membe

Africa-Press – Zambia. IT’S very difficult to understand, let alone explain, why Mr Hakainde Hichilema should fly to Qatar and lobby the United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on debt restructuring, Socialist Party president Fred M’membe has said. Dr M’membe wondered why President Hichilema is so afraid of going to China and facing the Chinese leadership over debt.

“The United Nations is not a lender to Zambia. Mr Hichilema knows very well that the unresolved issues lie mainly with China. It is very difficult to understand, let alone explain, why Mr Hakainde Hichilema should fly to Qatar and lobby the United Nations Secretary General on debt restructuring,” he said.

“Why is he so afraid of going to China and facing the Chinese leadership? He has made 35 trips abroad since becoming President but none of them to China, which is so strategic to the economic and general wellbeing of our nation.”

Dr M’membe said there’s no sensible alternative other than to directly engage the Chinese leadership. “The truth is that the main handlers of this puppet – the Brenthurst Foundation – are very anti-China and Russia (visit their website and Facebook page and see it for yourself) – and he doesn’t dare defy them,” he noted.

“This imperialist puppet has overcommitted himself to pleasing the Americans and their lackeys and can only go where he thinks they will approve. But there’s no sensible alternative for him other than to directly engage the Chinese leadership.” Dr M’membe added that being ruled by a puppet of America is very dangerous.

“He will get nothing much out of hosting the United States’ so-called democracy conference other than praise and useless honours,” warned Dr M’membe. “Clearly, being ruled by a puppet of America and mining transnational corporations is very dangerous.”
