Africa-Press – Zambia. First Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Malungo Chisangano has directed Home Affairs and Internal Security Minister Jacks Mwiimbu to issue a ministerial statement on reports indicating that one of the suspects who abducted Pamela Chisumpa and 12 other girls is on the run following a prison break.

This followed a question of urgent public importance raised by Mpika Member of Parliament Francis Kapyanga following a story in a named tabloid of a prison break at Mwembeshi maximum correctional facility in which the three abductors were involved.

In her ruling, Ms Chisangano directed the Minister of Home Affairs to return to the house with a ministerial statement on Thursday next week. The suspected abductors were remanded at Mwembeshi Maximum Correctional facility awaiting trial in the high court on charges which include aggravated robbery, abduction, assault, rape among other offences.
