Africa-Press – Zambia. SOME Residents in Choma Central have complained about their area Member of Parliament’s non-fulfillment to upgrade township roads in the district. In May, 2023, Choma Central Constituency Member of Parliament, Cornelius Mweetwa disclosed plans to upgrade township roads in the district which was to commence in the next few weeks by then.
One of the residents, Gerald Sichibalo, laments to Byta FM Zambia News that the roads have been in a deplorable state for long, which he says does not befit a Provincial Capital.
Sichibalo has since called on Mweetwa to come out publicly and inform his people of the current status after promising that the upgrade of roads would commence soon.
And another resident Kelvin Mweemba says the district has continued to lack in terms of development such as the upgrade of roads and industries to create employment.
Efforts to get a comment from Choma Central Member of Parliament Cornelius Mweetwa were unsuccessful as his phone was not reachable. For more details, tune in to Byta FM 90.3/100.3/101.9
