Africa-Press – Zambia. CHIEF Siansaali of the Tonga people in Binga district of Zimbabwe has stressed on the importance of family unity amongst the Tonga speaking people of Zambia and Zimbabwe.
The Chief was speaking Wednesday during the burial ceremony of Sinazongwe Senior Citizen, Grey Madyenkuku who died at the age of 102.
Siansaali said there are a lot of lessons to derive from the life of Madyenkuku who believed in family unity and in extending a hand of help to those in need.
The traditional leader explained that families should always show love for each other through valuing the importance of the extended family unity as exhibited by the late Madyenkuku.
And Sinazongwe District Council Chairperson, Cliff Siachibweka, stated that Grey Madyenkuku shall always be remembered for being a unifier.
Siachibweka said that though gone, lessons learnt from Madyenkuku on the importance of family unity will forever be passed on to the next generation.
