PF Presidential Candidates Challenging Miles Sampa Suffers Legal Setback As Sangwa Withdraws Services Due To Non-payment Of Legal Fees

Africa-Press – Zambia. Patriotic Front presidential candidates challenging the election of faction leader Miles Sampa, are reported to have suffered a legal setback after the lawyer representing them, state counsel John Sangwa, wrote to the PF camp that he had withdrawn his legal services citing non-payment of legal fees.

This is in a case where PF presidential aspirants have sued to challenge the purported extraordinary general conference convened by Matero MP, Sampa, on October 24, 2023 at the Mulungushi International Conference Center where he was controversially voted PF faction president.

Sources within the party revealed that this was despite Hon. Kafwaya delivering a letter of commitment to Mr. Sangwa. By press time, efforts to get a comment from both Mr. Sangwa and Mr. Kafwaya were unsuccessful as the lawyer refused to comment on the matter while the lawmaker’s phone went unanswered.
