Africa-Press – Zambia. President Hakainde Hichilema says the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) should be devoid of ethnicity and must uphold fairness.
President Hichilema says the institution should ensure that cases are thoroughly investigated before arresting suspects to avoid tarnishing people’s images.
He has also urged the institution not to damage the country’s prospects of investments by issuing unfounded statements and to ensure that integrity is upheld.
President Hichilema says that he had dissolved the entire board of the ACC and removed the Director General as it was unfortunate that certain individuals would hold a press briefing to address confidential matters.
