Africa-Press – Zambia. Justice has been served in the case of Janet Mumba, the 14-year-old maid, who was murdered by her employers in Lusaka’s Chalala residential area, on August 28, 2023.
Marjory Chanda and Smart Mumba, the couple accused of killing Janet, have been sentenced to life imprisonment after conviction in the Lusaka High Court.
In his judgement today, Judge Vincent Siloka said he was satisfied that the state had proved its case beyond any reasonable doubt and that the accused were responsible for the injuries found on Janet’s body.
