Why oh why do we keep quiet when a wrong is being perpetrated against the whole nation?<\/p>\n

When Levy Patrick Mwanawasa passed away in 2008, they took it upon themselves to cart the body around to all the provinces. 2021, KK passes away, they decide to do the same.<\/p>\n

As Zambians, we need to ask ourselves some questions:<\/p>\n

\u2013 Of what benefit and to whom, is this practice being perpetuated?<\/p>\n

\u2013 Did our ancestors practice such?<\/p>\n

\u2013 What is the spiritual significance of moving the body around the country?<\/p>\n

\u2013 Since we are a Christian Nation, what is the biblical example of this practice?<\/p>\n

\u2013 Are we honouring the body of the departed \u2013 he can not speak for himself. Is that something he would have wished for?<\/p>\n

We also need to ask ourselves the question \u2013 why do we, the citizens quietly murmur when a wrong is being done? Why do we accept such when we know we should not?<\/p>\n

I am of the view that we should have respected the remains of the former President KK and allowed him to Rest In Peace.<\/p>\n

In addition to the above, the Government made an announcement to the effect that there should be no funeral gathering\u2026\u2026so who is going to view the body?? Going to view the body is nothing more than morbid curiosity and a spreader of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Please our leaders, let us make decisions that benefit the people of this country. Look at how far (down) you have brought us!!!!<\/p>\n

Never again must we allow this parading of late President\u2019s bodies in our provinces. It is disrespectful to the departed, it is disrespectful to Zambians.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
