Africa-Press<\/a> – Zambia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>THE printing of ballot papers for the 2021 General Election has commenced today, in Dubai, UAE, starting with local government,mayoral and council chairperson\u2019s ballot papers.<\/p>\n

Electoral Commission of Zambia Corporate Affairs Manager Patricia Luhanga has announced in a media statement. Ms Luhanga said the ballot proofs are being approved by various political party representatives stationed in Lusaka at ECZ.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe proofing of ballot papers began on Friday 2nd July 2021 and progressing well and according to schedule,\u201d Ms Luhanga said She said the printing of ballot papers is expected to end on 30th July, 2021.<\/p>\n

Ms Luhanga further said Patriotic Front (PF), People\u2019s Alliance for Change (PAC), United Party for National Development (UPND) and an Independent Member of Parliament Candidate for Lumenzi Constituency applied for accreditation to observe the printing of the ballot papers.<\/p>\n

She said the Commission has since accredited all of them. \u201cCurrently, only the PF have managed to send a representative.Representatives from UPND, PAC and the Independent MP are also expected to join the team,\u201d Ms Luhanga said.<\/p>\n
