Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Lyon has reportedly banished defender Marcelo after he was caught farting in the dressing room and laughing about it The Ligue 1 side confirmed last August that the defender had been demoted to the reserves due to \u201cinappropriate behaviour\u201d.<\/p>\n

Marcelo had started their opening two games of the season, prior to being given the boot. His final game for Lyon was a 3-0 defeat to Angers on matchday two, during which he scored an own goal.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Equipe claim, via GFFN, that the 34-year-old loudly farted in the dressing room after the calamitous match. To make matters worse, he is also alleged to have laughed about it.<\/p>\n

The incident is said to have enraged club legend and sporting director Juninho. Marcelo was initially banished to the reserves, before having his contract cancelled in January.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian had played for Lyon since 2017, helping them reach the Champions League semi-finals. He went on to play 11 times for Lyon\u2019s reserve side, before having his contract terminated in January. After becoming a free agent, Marcelo signed for Bordeaux on a free transfer.<\/p>\n
