Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>A 25kg bag of mealie meal selling at K175 in June is just utter leadership incompetence and a disaster in waiting. This is the time mealie meal is supposed to be lowest because the new harvest is already on the market contrary to their lying style of politics that the new harvest is not yet on the market. Farming is Zambia\u2019s biggest advantage and sure way to economic freedom and we need to invest in it seriously.<\/p>\n

In two months time the maize farming season opens yet they are still politicking over farming inputs and nothing tangible is being done on the ground so we are heading for another food security disaster. Only an unadvisable incompetent government sets maize floor price at K160 while selling fertilizer at K1,200.<\/p>\n

A government that thinks the West will come spoon feed us out of our poverty is just backward and na\u00efve. We need to work hard and create our own wealth, there are no short cuts. This is not Privatization where people sell what they never built to make money. Home grown solution is the only way. Begging from the West or China remained in colonial days.<\/p>\n

We advise you Mr. President to cut down on your flight and listen to what the people are advising you, no one knows everything. May God Help us with this unadvisable Disaster of a government. Wherever we want to go our feet shall take us there.<\/p>\n
