Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Zambia Super League newcomers NAPSA Stars have yet to record a win or score a goal after three rounds of matches in the ongoing 2022\/2023 season. Striker Musonda Kapembwa however believes there is no cause for panic just yet as the team is playing well and creating chances.<\/p>\n

The former Lumwana Radiants and Buildcon forward feels the team has an identity and was unlucky not to pick up points in their previous games. Kapembwa is confident things will line up once the team scores their first goal. He believes the league is a marathon and not a sprint hence they should not worry just yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a bit disappointing that we have not yet scored our goal. We have created a lot of chances and upped the level. We played a very good game against Arrows. We played a good game against Nkwazi, creating a lot of chances,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgainst Lumwana, we were very unlucky that we came back without anything because we were better than them for the most part.<\/p>\n

There is no crisis after three games, like the coach says no one wins the league or gets relegated after three games. It is just about picking points and working on getting goals and once we get our goal we will start celebrating.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPressure will always come when results don\u2019t come. In life there should always be a vision. When you see how we are playing on the pitch, you can see that we have an identity and we know everything is on track. It does not look right now but who knew Red Arrows would win the league after losing 3-0 to Kansanshi Dynamos in week three ? No one saw it coming but they had an identity they knew they wanted to play.<\/p>\n

We have an identity and we are not going to run away from how we want to play just to grind out a result. This is not a sprint but a marathon and once we start picking up our points everything will be okay,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Kapembwa who was the Pensioners top goalscorer last season with seven goals feels the team only needs to be clinical and everything will work out. Last month the club announced that they had settled to use the national Heroes Stadium for their home games in the 2022\/2023 season.<\/p>\n

Musonda has called on the people around the National Heroes Stadium to join the Pensioners and support the team as they look to grow the \u2018Tangala\u2019 project.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe only thing now is about being clinical, maybe there is a jinx somewhere and everybody is thinking about it, it\u2019s in our heads, we need to get a goal, that\u2019s the only different thing, we just need to get that early goal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans should turn up in numbers , We have a new home, we brought ourselves near you because we want you to be our fans. We have a small fanbase but we want to grow the fanbase because the team and the project is growing bigger, and I mean what\u2019s football without fans.\u201d<\/p>\n

NAPSA Stars were held to goalless draws by Champions, Red Arrows, and Nkwazi before succumbing to a 1-0 loss at the hands of Lumwana Radiants away in North Western.<\/p>\n
