Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>The government says it will not extend import waivers beyond 30 September 2022. Ministry of Energy Permanent Secretary Francesca Zyambo made the announcement in a letter to oil importers.<\/p>\n

Taxes on petroleum products will be re-imposed beginning September 30th, 2022. This is according to a letter to Oil Marketing Companies dated 7th September 2022.<\/p>\n

Customs Duty(25%) The International Monetary Fund advised Government to remove subsidies on fuel, electricity and agriculture. Meanwhile, citizens are urged to brace up for fuel pump price hikes following the approval of US$1.3 billion loan for Zambia.<\/p>\n
