Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Emmanuel Banda was on target while there was action for Klings Kangwa and Edward Chilufya as Europe\u2019s elite Competitions took centre stage in midweek.<\/p>\n

In Denmark, Zambian midfield general Emmanuel Banda put in an impressive full 90 minutes shift for Djurgadens IF who recorded a 4-2 win over KAA Gent in a UEFA Europa Conference League tie.<\/p>\n

Banda scored Djurgadens 3rd goal and went on to pay tribute to Enock Mwepu who was forced to retire on Monday after he was diagnosed with a hereditary heart condition.<\/p>\n

The condition, which can worsen over time, would put Enock at an extremely high risk of suffering a potentially fatal cardiac event, if he were to continue playing competitive football.<\/p>\n

The win takes Djurgardens to their appearance in the Knockout stages of a Major continental Competition since the 1955\/56 European Cup campaign. Djurgadens stay top with 10 points and two matches left to play.<\/p>\n

In Hungary, Klings Kangwa came off the Red Star Belgrade bench at the 26th minute mark to replace injured Ivorian striker Sekou Sanogo and put in a very good shift.<\/p>\n

Kangwa and his Red Star Belgrade teammates were however on the losing end as they suffered a narrow 2-1 loss to Ferencvaros in the UEFA Europa League. The loss means Belgrade need to win their last two games to stand a chance of continuing in the Competition or dropping to the Conference League.<\/p>\n

In the Netherlands, Edward Chilufya was a late substitute in the FC Midtjylland 2-2 draw with Feyenoord in their UEFA Europa League away encounter at the De Kuip in Rotterdam.<\/p>\n
