Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Green Buffaloes are the first team to lose their next two games after winning their opening game at a CAF WCL. This was the first time in the finals that Green Buffaloes had failed to score a goal, it was also the first time they had conceded the first goal in a game. In their previous games against Determine Girls and AS FAR they had managed to take the lead.<\/p>\n

This was the second meeting between teams from Southern Africa and East Africa. It was the first win for a team from the CECAFA region; the previous clash between such teams ended in a win for the Southern African team. It was Mamelodi Sundowns 1-0 win over Vihiga Queens in the 2021 Group Stages.<\/p>\n

Simba Queens become the second team along with Malabo Kings in 2021 to lose their opening game and qualify for the Semi-finals. Simba Queens became the first team to bounce back at the CAF WCL Finals to win their second and third group games after losing their first.<\/p>\n

Simba Queens four goals at the tournament have been scored by three different players with Asha Djafari scorer of their first goal, becoming their third different goal scorer at the finals. Opah Clement, scorer of Simba Queens second goal became the first player for the Tanzanian club to score in successive games at the tournament.<\/p>\n

65% of Simba Queens passes in this game found their intended recipient.<\/p>\n

Simba Queens are the first East African club to reach the last four of the CAF WCL Finals. In all three of Simba Queens games only the winning team has scored. All five goals scored in games involving Simba Queens have been scored in the second half.<\/p>\n
