Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Energy expert Johnston Chikwanda has advised the Energy Regulation Board (ERB) to re modify the notice of fuel increments as well as the reduction.<\/b><\/p>\n

Dr Chikwanda said instead of announcing in the evening that prices are increasing or reducing at midnight of the same day, the board should instead allow the increment or decrease a week or more after the review.<\/p>\n

He said this will also help put to an end the debate on the monthly review of fuel prices. Dr Chikwanda said if ERB is able to announce the review and indicate that prices are affective after seven days or so the consumers will prepare adequately. He said the consumers are feeling ambushed by the effective midnight changes because it directly affects their business operations.<\/p>\n
