Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>I was laughing when I saw a headline from News Diggers where His Excellency, the President, Sammy is saying that please don\u2019t just be speaking in toilets, if you want to speak come and speak to us, we will listen to you, Antonio Mwanza says.<\/p>\n

Speaking when he featured on Lusaka Music Radio yesterday, the PF Media Director said President Hakainde Hichilema does not listen to sane advice. Mr Mwanza warned that Zambians will not find leadership if they expect it to come from the incumbent President.<\/p>\n

He said the party advised the Head of State not to get the IMF deal adding that the President paid a deaf ear. Mr Mwanza explained that one of the conditionalities for the IMF is to get rid of all subsidies, which results into the escalated high cost of living .<\/p>\n

\u201cWe told this President, when you go into this IMF deal, it willl cripple the economy. Did he listen? He didn\u2019t. we told him, once you go into this IMF deal, fuel will be expensive because that is one of the conditionalities IMF will put in place that you have to remove all manner of subsidies, direct subsidies and indirect subsidies. We told him, he didn\u2019t listen,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe told him, can you look into issues of mining, he didn\u2019t listen. This is the President who doesn\u2019t listen to anybody. This is a President who arrests and intimidates anybody who speaks.\u201d<\/p>\n

And Mr Mwanza said President Hichilema is guilty of complicity in matters of political violence. He said many UPND members have been issuing statements threatening those that speak to hold government accountable but the Head of State has been quite about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhy are the police so quick to go after those accused of defaming the President but they cant go after the UPND thugs? I will give you examples, Jackson Silavwe , president of GPZ was being intimidated , almost beaten right in front of the police and the police were watching,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have Saboi Imboela who has been threatened by a UPND leader, Carlos Kalunga theat they will organise youhts to go and rape Saboi….we have seen the UPND showing us Mulabalaba, that character who has gone online live undressing….the UPND are hacking each other, we have never seen the police move in on that.\u201d Mr Mwanza said the President always keeps quite on this that matter to the Zambians.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut the police will always be quick to move in on someone accused of defaming the President. And this is the President who said we shall not use the defamation law to gag the people. So you have a President who sells rhetoric, but on the other hand, but when his own party leaders and cadres are unleashing voilence on innocent citizens, he pretends that he does not see,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe kept quite when his cadres where beating people in Mwense, he kept quite when his cadres where beating people in Mkushi, he kept quite when his cadres in Lusangazi. He has always kept quite on the things that matter to Zambians.\u201d<\/p>\n
