Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>ZESCO United Football Club is set to name a new head coach in the next few days to take over from Numba \u2018Magic\u2019 Mumamba. ZESCO management and Numba mutually agreed to separate last month after a string of poor results.<\/p>\n

Numba joined ZESCO United in 2020 after signing a 3-year contract which saw him guide the club to a ninth league title in his first season. Alfred Lupiya has been acting as head coach in the interim capacity though results in the recent past have not been forthcoming.<\/p>\n

The Ndola based club advertised the top job three weeks ago with a CAF A Licence or equivalent coaching qualification set as the bar. ZESCO United Chief Executive Officer, Charles Kalala recently confirmed that the club had received overwhelming responses from both local and international coaches.<\/p>\n

Czech Republic coach Toma\u0301s Trucha and Belgian Luc Eymael have both been reported as being among those eying the Zega Mambo top job. ZESCO United have lost all their last three games conceding 6 goals and only scoring one in the process.<\/p>\n
