Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>As per their character and strategy, the UPND have [email protected] attacked PF youths at Arthur Davies Stadium in KITWE during today\u2019s Youth Day celebrations. This happened when the UPND youths realised that they had heavily been outnumbered by the PF youths who came out in droves to commemorate Youth Day;<\/p>\n

1. We strongly condemn this barbaric and uncalled for behaviour by UPND thugs.<\/p>\n

2. We challenge President Hakainde SAMMY Hichilema to ACT against violence being perpetrated by his own Party members.<\/p>\n

3. We are not naive; we know that UPND uses violence as a strategic tool to intimidate and suppress their political opponents. The violence we have witnessed today is not spontaneous, it is actually a very big part of the UPND strategy which they have been using since they launched the infamous Mapatizya Formula on May 4th, 2005. Even during general and by-elections the UPND have heavily relied on violence to intimidate and win especially in their strongholds.<\/p>\n

With the persistent high cost of living and an acute rise in poverty and destitution amid a failed IMF program, the UPND will intensify their violent conduct and wanton abuse of state power and manipulation of State processes as we draw near the 2026 general elections because that is their only hope and strategy to hold on to power. But they need to know that power belongs to the people and no amount of violence, intimidation, manipulation or abuse of the state machinery shall deter Zambians from electing a credible and competent government in 2026.<\/p>\n

4. To the PF youths and it\u2019s leadership across the country, a big congratulations for coming out in huge numbers to celebrate Youth Day, just like our women did, last week, you have again shown just how Strong and United PF is on the ground. Don\u2019t be intimidated; don\u2019t cow down. Aba NABAFILWA! BALEYA!<\/p>\n
