Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) on Friday unveiled the 2022-23 UEFA Women\u2019s Player of the Year award nominees.<\/p>\n

Barcelona’s Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmati, Real Madrid’s Spanish full-back Olga Carmona, and Chelsea’s Australian attacker Sam Kerr were named as nominees.<\/p>\n

First, the nominees were shortlisted by the UEFA technical observers based on their performance during the last season, and then the top three nominees were voted for by a jury.<\/p>\n

UEFA Women\u2019s Coach of the Year<\/b><\/p>\n

UEFA also unveiled the top three nominees for the 2022-23 UEFA Women\u2019s Coach of the Year award on Friday.<\/p>\n

Barcelona’s Spanish boss Jonatan Giraldez, the reigning-World-Cup-winner Spain’s head coach Jorge Vilda, and England’s manager Sarina Wiegman were nominated for the honor.<\/p>\n

The winners of the awards will be announced next week, the UEFA stated.<\/p>\n
