In an Instagram post, Cantona shared an image originally posted by Canadian-Lebanese author Najwa Zebian and tagged her.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefending the human rights of Palestinians does not mean you are pro-Hamas,\u201d the Instagram post read.<\/p>\n

It added: \u201cSaying ‘Free Palestine’ does not mean you are anti-Semitic or ‘want all the Jews gone.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Free Palestine’ means free Palestinians from the Israeli occupation that’s been robbing them their basic human rights for 75 years.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Free Palestine’ means stop caging 2.3 million Palestinians in the world’s largest open air prison, half of whom are children.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Free Palestine’ means end the apartheid imposed by the Israeli government.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018Free Palestine’ means give the Palestinians control over the basic infrastructure in their land.\u201d<\/p>\n

Cantona, who is known for supporting Palestine, had most games for Manchester United in 1992-1997.<\/p>\n

The former Man Utd player is a five-time English Premier League winner. He won four Premier League titles with Manchester United and another with Leeds United.<\/p>\n

Cantona was the French league champion in 1989 and 1991 when he was playing for Olympique Marseille.<\/p>\n

He retired from football in 1997 while he was 30 years old.<\/p>\n
