Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>THE mighty Patriotic Front seems to be slowly aligning on the path of disintegration. The cracks are widening and the bolts that have been keeping it together appear to be falling apart. Accusations and counter accusations are becoming more aggressive. Word on the streets is that former president Edgar Lungu, who holds the record for the worst election defeat, is moving fast to form another political party. Some MPs seem tired with the endless back and forth which is not giving any hope for the future.<\/p>\n

In an organisation where there is no leadership or direction, members tend to lose patience and trust. It is no wonder PF officials in Eastern Province are up in arms, one trying to oust the other on allegations of treachery.<\/p>\n

Patriotic Front Eastern Province Information and Publicity Secretary, William Phiri wants his provincial chairman Andrew Lubusha removed from his position because he cannot be trusted anymore. Mr Phiri claims that Honourable Lubusha has been enticing PF councilors to defect to the ruling UPND. But in his honest response, the Chipangali lawmaker said he has a duty to fulfil government programmes that are implemented under CDF.<\/p>\n
