Africa-Press<\/a> – Zambia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>It was a good Sunday for Zanaco and Kabwe Warriors who made promising starts to their respective continental campaigns on the road. In the CAF Champions League, Zanaco made a very bright start in their preliminary round, first leg away match against Akonangui of Equatorial Guinea.<\/p>\n

Zanaco beat Akonangui 2-0 away in Ebebiyin and head into their September 18 final leg fixture at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka sitting in poll position to qualify for next month\u2019s pre-group stage.<\/p>\n

Both goals came within the opening thirty minutes of the first half. Evans Katema put Zanaco ahead in the 14th minute and Ernest Mbewe wrapped-up the day with the final goal in the 31st minute.<\/p>\n

And in Madagascar, Kabwe Warriors drew 0-0 away to CFFA in their CAF Confederation Cup first round, first leg match. Warriors hosts CFFA on September 19 at Heroes Stadium.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
