Africa-Press<\/a> – Zambia<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>United Party for National Development(UPND)National Women\u2019s Chairlady Doreen Mwamba has urged women in the party to rally behind Kaumbwe Constituency candidature, Esnart Sakala. And Mrs Mwamba says President Hakainde Hichilema is committed to promote women\u2019s participation in politics and governance issues.<\/p>\n

She adds that it is a duty of all well meaning members of the party especially women to support, protect and love the party by conducting \u2018continuous mobilisation programme countrywide\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s meet on the ground in Kaumbwe constituency to support and ensure that we add another woman in Parliament on 21st October 2021.<\/p>\n

\u201cPresident Hakainde Hichilema is most grateful for the unwavering support of women in his ascending leadership.<\/p>\n

I want to thank you all most sincerely for the love and sacrifices rendered for the victory of our President Hichilema and the party during the just ended general elections.<\/p>\n

It was not easy as l moved countywide to campaign amidst political intimidation by the PF but we crossed over and here we are to implement UPND policies and victory again in 2026\u2033<\/p>\n

This time we campaign for Esnart Sakala in the new dawn with a new Republican President in state house let\u2019s be more united and forced.\u201d Mrs Mwamba said.<\/p>\n

The UPND National women\u2019s Chairlady said this when she interacted with Lusaka Province UPND women at the Party\u2019s National Secretariat in Lusaka, Sunday.<\/p>\n

Speaking earlier, UPND Lusaka Province Chairlady Rosa Zulu said the women in the party are elated with President Hakainde Hichilema\u201ds ministerial appointment of Mrs Mwamba.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u2018We are happy with your ministerial position and we sing a celebratory song for you. It was at this point that the women went to the audience to dance for joy and later presented her a gift.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the UPND National Women\u2019s Chairlady reaffirmed her committment to ensure the party is the best choice. \u201cWomen there is no time to rest. Politics is on the ground let us continue to interact with our people.<\/p>\n
