Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>Diamond TV\u2019s Senior Manager and Head of Content, Dingindaba Jonah Buyoya, has officially joined the BBC World Service, marking a major milestone in his already illustrious media career.<\/p>\n

Confirming the development, Diamond TV Chief Visionary Officer Costa Mwansa hailed Buyoya\u2019s journey at the station as a story of relentless commitment, creativity, and leadership.<\/p>\n

\u201cDingindaba has been instrumental in shaping Diamond TV\u2019s identity since its formative years,\u201d Costa Mwansa said. \u201cHe started with us as a news anchor, producer, and presenter, and later rose to Senior Manager for Content, a role in which he drove many of our groundbreaking projects. His passion for impactful storytelling and uncompromising pursuit of excellence have set the bar high for our entire team.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mwansa added that despite his move to the BBC, Buyoya will maintain ties with Diamond Media as a correspondent and consultant, continuing to contribute to the brand he helped build.<\/p>\n

A recipient of the 2022 BBC News Komla Dumor Award, which celebrates exceptional African journalists who embody the spirit of the late Ghanaian broadcaster Komla Dumor, Buyoya is widely regarded as one of Zambia\u2019s most dynamic young media professionals.<\/p>\n

In 2024, he made waves after revealing that he had previously declined an offer from the BBC to remain at Diamond TV, a decision that underscored his loyalty and belief in the Zambian media landscape.<\/p>\n

With his new role at the BBC, based in Kenya, Buyoya now steps onto a global stage, taking his storytelling craft and Zambia\u2019s journalistic excellence to the world.<\/p>\n
