Africa-Press – Zambia. <\/strong><\/span>When Michael Sata sent Wynter Kabimba to propose the lifting of fourth President Rupiah Banda\u2019s immunity in 2011 or thereabout, we thought Emmanuel Mwamba, the former envoy to Ethiopia, was ten years older than he was in 2001.<\/p>\n

Emmanuel was in Michael Sata\u2019s Government as permanent secretary before he suffered calamity. But when Parliament was lifting Rupiah Banda\u2019s immunity, Emmanuel failed to say anything.<\/p>\n

But today in a screaming headline, he shouts on top of the platform of Facebook; \u201cSTOP HARASSING FORMER PRESIDENTS, IT\u2019S A SHEER WASTE OF VALUABLE TIME.\u201d<\/p>\n

Just who is Emmanuel talking to when he concludes with such words? Harassing? Former Presidents? And he concludes that it is a sheer waste of valuable time?<\/p>\n

Which former Presidents are being harassed and by who? Emmanuel should not insinuate all former Presidents are being harassed when he means former President Edgar Lungu.<\/p>\n

We cannot talk about Frederick Chiluba because Emmanuel knows what he did to cause moribund cases against the second President of Zambia until they collapsed.<\/p>\n

Fast Forward, the former banker and journalism student at Evelyn Hone College wants to champion the defence of former President Edgar Lungu\u2019s alleged transgressions.<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that Emmanuel is connected to media personnel because of his kind hand but as an immediate former diplomat, he should apply brakes on future pre-exempt actions. Zambians will soon start seeing former President Edgar Lungu visit markets to buy tomatoes or vegetables and the source of the scheme is obvious.<\/p>\n

Someone somewhere will be trying to create a Man of the People and the array of online publications aligned to the former establishment which are evident will run with screaming headlines.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s decide to cross the bridge when we come to it otherwise those afraid of the corruption fight should surrender before the crusade gets hot. There is no waste of time when a humble leader is exposed as having stolen from the poor even if they are not convicted. The court of public opinion is more than enough.<\/p>\n
