Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Police have launched an investigation after a man’s luxury vehicle was stolen in central Harare in what appears to have been a carefully executed con.
The incident occurred on Friday evening at a restaurant situated at the corner of Josiah Chinamano Avenue and Mazowe Street.
According to a statement from the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP), the 31-year-old victim had met an unidentified woman at the venue and engaged in a casual game of pool.During the game, the woman allegedly stole the keys to the man’s white Mercedes-Benz C200 from his jacket.
She then slipped out of the premises unnoticed, used the remote to access the vehicle, and reportedly drove off at high speed in the direction of Mazowe Street.
