Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Presidential Special Investment Advisor Paul Tunguwara has announced the launch of the Presidential Hospital Refurbishment Programme, an initiative to modernise the Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals, one of Zimbabwe’s largest and most critical healthcare institutions.
According to Tunguwara, the refurbishment project is being spearheaded by Prevail International Group of Companies, which is already on-site undertaking comprehensive upgrades to hospital infrastructure.
The initiative is expected to bring facilities in line with international healthcare standards, enhancing service delivery and patient care. He said:
This initiative is a symbol of progress, resilience, and a brighter future for Zimbabwe. As the refurbishment continues, citizens can look forward to state-of-the-art medical facilities, improved patient care, and a healthcare system that truly serves the people.
On Monday, 16 June, President Emmerson Mnangagwa announced on X that he had visited Parirenyatwa and Sally Mugabe Hospitals, along with the NatPharm warehouse, to gain a clearer understanding of the current state of Zimbabwe’s public health services.
