Africa-Press – Zimbabwe. Starting Monday, 14 July 2025, traffic along the Bulawayo–Victoria Falls Road will be diverted to designated detours to allow for essential rehabilitation and upgrade works.

According to the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructural Development, a temporary road closure will be enforced from Bulawayo CBD to Livingstone Bridge from 14 July 2025 until 31 July 2026.

The extensive project is meant to improve road conditions and safety on one of Zimbabwe’s key transport corridors.

The first phase of construction will target the section between Chainage 99.6km and 104.6km in the Insuza area.

Motorists are urged to strictly follow temporary road signage and significantly reduce speed when navigating through detour areas to ensure the safety of both road users and construction workers.

The Ministry also warned that failure to comply with road closure notices or entering the construction zone is not only dangerous but also illegal.
